First annual loney fest was a blast. I had a great time meeting some fellow eggheads Clark (misippi egger), Adam (ripnem), Scott (gw), and seeing ole Hoss again. I know there have been some rumors flying around about what went on down there. Ya'll can rest assured that what happened in that cabin is certainly nothing that couldn't happen at any other fest.
That's all I got to say about that.
We had some awesome food (so much for the new years diet
) which included Egrets chili, elk burgers, pork tender loin sammies, venison backstrap, bacon wrapped pheasant, venison smoked sausage, smoked cheese, elk tenderloin, salmon pizza, pheasant neuberg, and last but not least, the star of the show...the loney chub. All was either followed by or preceeded by some nice "apple pie". (thanks for the recipe Richard) There were various things to drink as well
Richard fl sent some of his rub's for us to try, I'd like to send out a big thanks to him for his kindness and generosity. Can't wait to use them.
Clark brought some rub for all of us too. Looking forward to trying that too.
Hoss put on a great fest and except for a few self inflicted injuries, I had an awesome time.

for those who may not appreciate gourmet food...

It was a lotta fun.The first time I ever tasted Salmon pizza. You will be hearing more about it on the forum SOON.It is PHENOMINALLY DELISHIOUS!(sp)

I thought you guys were roughing it and sleeping in tents. If I had known it was a nice cabin with Blankets and all, I would have considered attending. I could have done your laundry or something while you were out shooting stuff.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

I was kinda suprised by it too. Before I left home I even called Hoss and asked if I needed to bring a coffee pot.
Needless to say, coffee was provided as well as lots of other stuff. Very nice.
