Rebecca....we are very sorry for your loss!

Here is a picture of our pembroke welsh corgi about two years ago. She is almost 10 years old now and although she is stubborn, losing her hearing and sheds like crazy....we wouldn't change her for the world!

don't forget, you can always go back and edit a post, too. that way you don't need to reply to yourself with each try.

after you make a post, and you land on your reply, you'll see the "reply, quote, edit" options below the post. if you want to add a pic, or edit the post, you simply click 'edit', and it will take you back to the original text you typed.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. We lost our cat of 13 years last year and we still sometimes get a lump in our throats. Try to remember better days together.
    Take care,

So sorry to hear about that Rebecca. We're still happy to have this old lady around. I keep wondering for how long. She'll be 13 in May.

Rebecca, I'm very sorry to hear about your puppy. What a majestic looking animal! I lost my 13 year old Charlie, a Springer mix and also a snow lover, about a year ago. I think of her often...

I will not eat oysters. I want my food dead. Not sick, not wounded... dead.

Here are some pics of our basset hound, Ogie Oglethorpe over the last few days. Our thoughts are with you

And after I got up he snuck into my side of the bed and tried to be me (he did this himself, we did not cover him up or anything)

  • eenie meenie,

I'm sorry for your loss. We had 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks. The first one to go was Scarlett. This is Brick. Her loss hammered him really really hard. My wife bought Cassie, our longhair chihuahua. Brick died within a year of getting Cassie. This is them together. It's been about 3 years and this is the first time I've showed anyone this photo....it's still hurts too much for me to look at this one for very long.

Eventually I'll get this printed large and framed.

We have another chihuahua that is 15 years old, blind, deaf, and toothless and so ugly we don't post pictures of him. But he's a great dog.

We lost our beloved Ginny (Border Collie) back in May. This is Misty -- she is our Christmas present Border Collie to ourselves.

This is "Lisa - Our Lady of Leisure" 19 month old lab mix. She was a rescue that our neighbors picked out as a pup and then took back (after 3 months) from the pound. My wife could not stand it so she went and reclaimed her (with another adoption fee). We keep waiting for her to get as comfortable around others as she is obviously with us.

maybe this 'll cheer you up...
here's what 700 bucks of vet bills for a cat looks like these days.

    poor_butterscotch.jpg

yeah yeah yeah, i know. everyone's all "my pet is like my child". except when it's someone ELSE'S pet (or even child).

i wanted to ask the boys... "we take the cat to the vet, or you can get an xbox Kinect. which is it?"
of course, their mother poured me a drink and sent me on my way, and they got BOTH.

free cat, 700-dollar damn 'surgery' and cone. my dad would have just come back with a different cat....
