Many years ago Pizza Hut used to make a taco pizza. It was my mothers favorite pizza. She is coming for a week at Christmas and I would like to make one for her. Anyone done one on the Egg if so how did you do it.

I was curious so I went looking for a recipe and ran across this. It actually sounds pretty good. You could do the topings any way you wanted.

Does this give you some help/

    Pizza, Mexican, Taco Bell

    INGREDIENTS:
    1/2 lb ground beef
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp dried minced onion
    1/4 tsp paprika
    1 1/2 tsp chili powder
    2 Tbs water
8 small (6-inch diameter) flour tortillas
1 cup Crisco shortening or cooking oil
1 16 Ozs Can Refried beans
    1/3 cup diced tomato
    2/3 cup mild picante salsa
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
    1/4 cup chopped green onions
    1/4 cup sliced black olives

    Procedure:
1 Cook the ground beef over medium heat until brown, then drain off
2 the excess fat from the pan. Add salt, onions, paprika, chili
3 powder and water, then let mixture simmer over medium heat for
4 about 10 minutes. Stir often. Heat oil or Crisco shortening in a
5 frying pan over medium-high heat. If oil begins to smoke, it is too
6 hot. When oil is hot, fry each tortilla for about 30-45 seconds per
7 side and set aside on paper towels. When frying each tortilla, be
8 sure to pop any bubbles that form so that tortilla lays flat in
9 oil. Tortillas should become golden brown. Heat up refried beans in
10 a small pan over the stove or in the microwave. Preheat oven to
11 F. When meat and tortillas are done, stack each pizza by first
12 spreading about 1/3 cup refried beans on face of one tortilla. Next
13 spread 1/4 to 1/3 cup of meat, then another tortilla. Coat your
14 pizzas with two tablespoons of salsa on each, then split up the
15 tomatoes and stack them on top. Next divide up the cheese, onions
16 and olives, stacking in that order. Place pizzas in your hot oven
17 for 8-12 minutes or until cheese on top is melted.

I love taco pizza and have done it several times on the egg...what I like to do is make a plain chees pizza, just like you were gonna eat it...cook it until almost done then add taco meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, and some hot sauce then back on the egg for a minute or 2 to warm things up...I spose if you added the taco meat already heated you could just top it and serve..man now I waant one..LOL
