Not freaking out like some of you on here are. If it works it works if it doesn't it doesn't. I will post pics tomorrow. I figure if I can keep the temp at 325 or 350 and keep it basted it will have to work. I hope all of you guys have a good Thanksgiving!

No need to baste. That just lowers the BGE temp by opening and closing the dome. As Celtic Wolf says, "If you are peeking, you ain't cooking".

good for you!!. .just make sure the dome temp thermometer doesn't poke in the bird and give you false readings. .. .
and contrary to my good friend rich (LOVE YOU RICH) ...i advocate basting. ..if nothing else it gets all the juices from the cavity mixing with the drippings in the pan, and the better mixed all that is the better the dripppings for your gravy will be... -
Well Max, I think it is a number of things that keep me from basting; a)I'm just too lazy, b)the kitchen drawer is too small to hold a baster, c)the granddaughters want to go fishing, d)the pumpkin pie needs tending, e)the dressing needs mixing, f)the cap on another one need popping such that the time just sort of passes by.
