Same lifetime warranty as BGE. Costco is an authorized dealer. If you're not a member, there is a loophole where if a buddy buys you a Costco gift card, you are allowed to show it and use it for entry to spend.
I have a BGE, but also an Akorn and Big Steel Keg. Food tastes the same on all three. The BSK is actually the best of the cookers since it's more portable (I've moved across the country with it) and more thermall efficient. Sometimes you'll find BSK for around $500-600 on Amazon.
thanks for your message odie. I had looked at the joe's before, but have spent the last 1 1/2 hours researching and reading reviews. By all accounts they are every bit as good as the egg. In some cases, such as the hardware, even eggers seem to admit they are a step up. Oddly, I find myself biased towards the egg. Most likely it has to do with this forum and the folks who frequent it; wanting to be a full fledged green member if you will. I will go check out the KJ in person this week. Whichever way I go, I appreciate you getting me to take a closer look.
