  • Re: frozen ribs

Yeah. I have thrown them on not completely thawed a few times.  They were a flexible, but still had some ice/frozen spots in them.  Couldn't tell a difference.

Tens/Stim units are great.  A tens unit can help with the pain while you work through the issues that are causing the pain.  A Stim unit can help with spasms as well as pain.

Those epidural shots are also great for a bulging disk a lot of the time.  They have kept a lot of people from having to have a decompression surgery.  If that is an option that you are ever looking at, make sure that you use someone that uses x-ray to pin point the location of the injection.  Those Drs seem to have much better results than the ones that don't use x-ray.  They are just guessing where they put the medicine, and they often miss the ideal spot.

Those injections aren't usually a good option for muscle strains and spasms etc. though.

That's great.  It reminds me of one that I gave to a guy when he was really in need.  Now he is back on his feet, and has since given that same smoker to someone else that was in need at the time.

    Congrats and Welcome!!

I like what you've built.  I want to build one with an open front like that so it will be easier to get in and out.  I wouldn't move mine off of the table very often, but I do a couple of competitions a year. It will be nice to be able to put it back in the nest and vehicle for those purposes.
  • Mississippi Roast

Did a Mississippi Roast yesterday.  This is something that we have done several times in a crock pot, and I have been dying to do it on the Egg.

    Chuck Roast
    1 jar peperoncini peppers
    1 pack au jus
    1 pack ranch dressing mix
    1 stick of butter

Simply place the roast in dutch oven.  Sprinkle pack of ranch dressing mix and au jus over top of roast.  Poor pepper juice in dutch oven, and place peppers on top of roast.  Then place a stick of butter on top.

Placed on the egg at 225 with a stick of apple wood.  Took about 7 hours.

The juices in the pot make an excellent gravy as well.
