  • I have a Le Crueset and trust me, its worth the price. I've had imports and the enamel just isn't as durable nor does it clean as easily. I don"t know how well the lodge ones hold up. I know they are made in China.
  • No offense to anyone that has one, but the Blackstone pizza oven looks ugly as hell. I like the look of the Ooni or Pizza Party. The Ooni Black Friday deals are over and I did not get one. I’d like to make a decent thin crust pizza in my egg. I know…

  • Yeah this is the first time time at a higher temp for any length of time.
  • I have this an love it.  http://shop.lodgemfg.com/skillets-and-covers/12inch-cast-iron-pan.asp
  • Hub said: Ain't nothing wrong with your large.  You only need a new egg if you need MORE grill space, not less.  Just use less lump and less of your grid.  You don't need a new egg ... you just want one. Im not gonna lie, there is a lot…
  • I live in FL. Id rather fire up the egg outside than crank up the oven inside and run the air more.
  • Yes, get the handler! I dont like to leave my egg out in the elements so I wheel it back and forth from the patio to the porch. Its works great, especially if you need to pick it up a little to clear a bump.
  • I never use a rack. Bones down and they make perfect rack. Save them bones for beef stock afterwards!
  • Prime rib is such a good cut of meat you do not need to go slow & low. You can roast/smoke it higher temps and it will still come out moist and tender. I usually  start at 400 for 10-15 min to get a good crust then finish at 350 degrees. If I'm …
  • I've used this recipe with great success.  Cast iron fry pan is all you need.  http://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/onion-naan

  • I too have used Alton Brown's recipe for gyro meat a few times and it comes out great. I have a rotisserie on my gas grill and its a lot of fun. Around Easter, Costco has lamb pretty cheap so I stock up.

  • I always foil to speed up the cooks. I usually foil around an internal temp of 120-150. I will place the meat in a pan and cover with foil. Once my meat is at the desired temp, I will pull the foil off, drain the juices, and place the pan back on th…
  • I attended Myron's class at his home in GA a few years ago and It was a great class. His family was very friendly and accommodating. Myron's "tell it like it is" attitude was quite refreshing and he always took the time answer anyone's questions or …

  • Thanks everyone. My local Costco was having the KJ road show this week. I have to admit, roadshow price on a new KJ is one hell of a deal. They are nice grills, but I couldn't get past the red color. (Someone on here said red was an angry color and …

  • Today I checked out a KJ at an area Ace Hardware and those grills aren't for me. I feel as if they are a knock off of the BGE. I am sure they are great, but they weren't calling my name like the BGE does. Also, I wasn't very fond of the color, they …

  • I live in Orlando, FL. One of the local dealers is offering pre buy demos form the Central FL Eggfest, however that isn't until November. The price isn't much better than new at my local Ace Hardware
