  • Neat idea.  I have a cyberQ and when I want to heat things up quickly, I just remove the temp probe from the pit (so temp remains constant) and the blower just keeps going.  It's not 700 Degrees in 7 minutes, but it's pretty fast...
  • Thanks again to all!  Ham came out amazing and definitely will be back again next year.  Will need to purchase a food quality saw to properly butcher for next year.
  • ham is out of the curing bath, rinsed and in the fridge waiting for the morning smoke.  Wish me luck. Also, any guidelines on how much faster something cooks once it's brined?  I know you need to cook to temp and this is not an exact science, but …

  • I've been doing it wrong. Thanks both! Nolaegg was a pleasure to meet you in Salado this spring
  • Hello AllNot sure how to delete a post, so thanks to all for the interest - the DigiQ is sold.  Ordered the WiFi version this AM - Can't wait.
  • Also, if you don't have a static ip at your house (most homes are dynamic) use a free service like DynDnS that will always track your ip address and allow you to use a more friendly address like (for example)
  • Did this tonight and added 8oz of coca cola. One of the best tenderloins I've ever done. Thanks!
  • You guys were right - finished within a few minutes of each other. Fantastic meal. Merry Christmas.
