  • I think that is a good deal. Egg alone retails for $849 plus tax here. I'd offer $350 and see what he says. It won't technically be under warranty but I bet a dealer wouldn't give you too thought of a time if something cracked.

  • @R2Egg2Q no I haven't had any issues with it. I usually feel the bottom to see if too much heat is getting to it and it is barely warm. Ready to take it tailgating and camping this fall.

  • Put it on at 11 last night. JD oak chips used. Got it stabilized at 250. Checked this morning and had moved about 2 degrees. Cooking in the rain so don't get to sit outside and enjoy it but at least the egg is doing its job!!

  • Mini is amazing. I have the large and medium as well but use the mini the most. Just ordered an Egg Carten. As far as the plate setter does your Mini have the new fire ring? The plate setter is designed for the newest one so check on that first.

  • I always leave mine just like you said and have never had a problem. It always has that beautiful smell of charcoal and meat when I open it up for my next cook!!!
