  • The base on my first large cracked two years ago and I have the replacement, but have just been too lazy to install a new Rutland and replace it.  My thought was use it for growing herbs or load it up with a couple pounds of Tannerite and shoot it w…
  • I am also a fan of the stainless from MCGW.  I have a cast iron as my primary grid on my small and it is very well seasoned, but I never cook above 400-450*  on that egg so it stays seasoned.  I had one for my mini that I threw away because every ti…

  • Check with The Outdoor Kitchen in Omaha, NE.  They are one of my local dealers and last time I was in there they had one.  That was a while ago, but it can't hurt to check. Mike
  • My better half has put up with me going on hunting trips all over the world for fifteen of our twenty-three years of marriage, so this year she gets a ten day trip to Oahu and Maui.  Of course, I get to go too.   Mike
  • @ZZNupe  Just to give you a point of reference I did a seven pound breast last night at 325* indirect and it took 2:15 to reach 160*. Mike

  • You can't go wrong with the Dizzy Pig line.  I have and use them all except for the Bombay Curry-ish and that's only because I'm not a fan of curry.  As said above I like rubs that aren't too salty and Dizzy Pig is a perfect fit. Mike
  • You can try the Tel-Tru site.  They make a ton of different ones but I'm not sure you'll find the dial size vs. stem size you're looking for. Mike
  • Thanks guys.  SGH was your egg an older one like Ron's?  It doesn't seem like it would be too tough to knock down with a belt sander but maybe I'm wrong?  Then again I can't imagine this would be a problem for a warranty claim.  Guess it just depend…
  • I assembled mine at my shop, hauled it home, and moved it onto my deck myself with out problem, though my deck does only have six stairs.  I just took all the guts out, removed the springs and un-bolted the hinge on each side to remove the dome.  Wh…

  • No way Jose'.  I'm not even sure how Pizza Hut stays in business?  I would eat a Domino's death disk before I would eat that stuff.  I guess not every one has the variety we have here, but if we don't want to make it at home we have half a dozen loc…

  • The good news is it's only about 3' off the ground at the highest point, so if it collapses it probably won't kill me.   Seriously though, I'm thinking of taking it down and putting in a nice patio before i burn the house down.  No close calls yet,…
  • You're right...a sickness!  I have five on my deck now (XL, 2xLarge a small and a mini)  My deck is starting to sag from the weight and I don't care!!  Egg On!! Mike
  • They look awesome Shane!  I'm not sure how you walked away from them to do yard work.  You have way more will power than I do my friend! Mike
  • I have followed this thread from the beginning and I am amazed how few duplicate sauces or rubs there have been pictured.  Just goes to show how tough that business must be to make it in. Mike
