  • Pato & Cinthia, Welcome! I hope things go well for you. When will you have time to come to Austin again? Joni will be in San Diego for a week in August, but that's about as far from Roseville as you can get. Best wishes to you & Cin…

  • You know you're an Egghead when....... You successfully managed to fit 8 bags of lump in the trunk of a Corvette Z06.
  • Leroy, It's good to see you upright. Take it easy and work on your rehab. Best wished for a rapid and full recovery. Colin & Joni
  • Leroy, I also was unaware of any plans for surgery. Joni & I will be thinking of you and wishing you the best. Colin
  • We will be on the alert for it in the central Texas area. I have the horsepower (2 Corvettes) and the gunpower (more than you can imagine) to keep up with the thief until I can get law enforcement on the scene. Colin
  • Hey, Pato - Don't forget that you & Cinthia are most welcome to stay at our home again if you make it up to Austin for the Texas Eggfest. Joni & Layla say hello.
  • My Z06 is pretty much a garage queen also. It has never seen rain, and I have averaged about 2000 miles a year. You're only doing about 1000 a year. That's probably the most pampered C4 generation Vette I've ever seen. My wife likes to drive h…
  • mollyshark, Although I visit this forum frequently, I haven't posted for months. But I wanted to send my sympathies to you on your loss. My wife & I received the sad news in December that our beloved Vizsla, Layla, has inoperable cancer tha…
  • I last saw him at the Texas Eggfest in May. I hope he is reading these postings and knows that we all value his contributions to our country. As to the Florida State Seminoles, all I can say is I hope they end up as the second best team in the c…
  • Beanie, Hey Mike, are you not going to watch the World 600 race tonight? Seriously, your neighbors are lucky to have your contributions to the block party. Are you enjoying your new table? Regards,
  • It's not the water; it's just that everything is bigger in Texas.
  • Mike, What a great looking family you have. You were not my first choice to win the raffle  , but if I couldn't win I am glad you did. Regards,
  • Pato, You omitted the last step in your lobster recipe. It is: Burn the gasket completely off a brand-new XL Egg on its first day of use.
  • She didn't make the trip. Mike did bring his young daughter. She's a very bright and sweet girl. She spent quite a bit of time hanging out with Spring Chicken and Spring Hen right next to our cooking station.
  • I also send my thanks to Bob & Scott and all the crew. You really went all out and put on an outstanding event. The last count I heard was 257 people in attendance - more than double over last year. We appreciate your support for the BGE fa…
  • I'm thinking that they have fallen so in love with our Vizsla, Layla, that they will want to come again and stay at our home again. It has been great having them as houseguests and I'm certain it won't be the last time. It was nice to meet you…
  • "I'll be the one with BBQ sauce on my shirt." ....and the .357 magnum in his truck. (me too). Look forward to meeting you.

  • Happy Birthday, Leroy. We will have to raise a toast or two to you this evening. Pato & Cinthia arrived from Mexico about 10:00 and we stayed up till after midnight visiting and having drinks. They are really very nice and personable and I kn…
  • Hey, Leroy & Judy - Pato & Cinthia have accepted our invitation to stay at our home. We are eager to meet them and make new friends. We will have an opportunity to shop if I can't supply anything he may have forgotten. We all are pla…

  • Got your email. I'll reply by email also. See you soon.

  • Wow. I'll be content with my 405 hp. Until I get my insurance coverage binder tomorrow I'm not going to test its limits. My wife is still negotiating over driving rights -- I think she will make a great passenger, but I'm probably going to be a wo…
  • The most difficult aspect of it is getting in and out of it. But it's worth the contortions.
  • Pato, We have not met, but my wife & I would like to invite you to stay at our home in Austin. We are only amateur BGE chefs but we are planning to cook at the Texas Eggfest. I will be off work on the day before the event, and we can shop t…
  • I'm not sure exactly, but my intention is to cook three courses that don't take much time each so I can have time to visit with other cooks and not be restricted by time or temperature to my BGE. As of now, I am thinking of kielbasa sausages, por…
  • Mickey, That's good news that they have more than 100 who will attend. I have been checking their Web site and they show 16 cooks and 19 non-cooks, for a total of 35. It would be great to have that roster updated. I look forward to meeting y…
  • These are some great pictures, great food, and it looks as if a great time was had by all. But, the very best part was seeing a healthy Spawn there with Max. Hey Max, the Redskins have a great defensive player in Brian Orakpo. Keep an eye on …

  • I use parchment paper also, but Rich is correct. The stone needs to be thoroughly pre-heated. I go to 500* for mine on the egg. If I'm doing it in my inside oven, 450* seems to work.

  • Mark Sanchez, Wait till you meet Brian Orakpo. Actually I think Sanchez & Orakpo both went too late in the draft. Sanchez has great promise, but only 16 starts. Orakpo is proven and will help the Redskins from the beginning. Hook 'Em Te…

  • I sure hope so. It really depends on what is going on in the legislature that day. The schedule becomes hectic and unpredictable during the last few weeks. It appears they will be in session for 4 of the 5 Saturdays in May. See you soon.
