  • I just bought the last bag of B&B at my ace. It’s ok but it has a really strong chemical smell when you first light it.  It takes a while for the smell to disappear.

  • Cover are great if u keep up with putting them on after each use.  I did it religiously for about a month than I became lazy now the cover never goes on.  
  • I have one it works ok.  If u have the extra cash get 1 but it’s not necessary and it doesn’t cook better than the DFMT.

  • I don’t buy Royal oak no more not because it’s sucks, but every Home Depot in my area doesn’t take care of the charcoal. Every bag I get its mostly dust.  I pay 37$ for a bag of BGE from my dealer.  My dealer takes care of his charcoal.  
  • U don't need a back yard to have fun egging. My townhouse only had small yard and patio. I to wanted a table at first but there's was very little room on my patio so I stuck with my nest.  Welcome to the forum start and keep on cookin.    
  • Hope all goes well with your move. When u say moving to Hawaii do u mean Oahu?  If so there's only 2 egg dealers here. Both are ok but not as knowledge as the mainland egg dealers.

  • Pork ribs baby back or St Louis cut. Can't seem to be consistent. I can't get the time right so they come out tuff.   I get good pull back from the bones but the meater racks come out tuff.

  • I have a friend that works as meat cutter for Costco. According to him Costco will no longer sell choice briskets only prime briskets.  I can't really tell a difference in taste but the primes cook alot faster.

  • @lousubcap thanks.  I'm still debating if I should snuff the fire or just add fuel and let her keep running.  
  • I forgot I had pizza dough defrosted.  Didn't want to waste it so I made pizza first.  Then I decided to bake the mahi mahi in the egg.  I'm experimenting tonight I crusted some of the fish with chips and just seasoned some with house divided.

  • Are your wires for guru sandwich between your dome and base.  If so the wire is causing a gap even if u can't see it. That's where your smoke leak is coming from.

  • @SoCalTim I got my new hinge and band assembly from big green egg. Most dealers won't have them yet.  Unless your dealer sells a lot of eggs.  Try contacting big green egg directly. 
  • Willieb9000 hey southern links BBQ just posted he got the new hinge assembly for his large.  You may want to reach out to him for measurement specs his egg is in a table.
