  • Don pepino is very good
  • We just got a Portuguese Water Dog 2 weeks ago.  She is 11 weeks now.  It's like an infant!  Hope she sleeps through the night soon
  • Walmart in Severn has whole packers.  It's hit or miss of choice versus select though.
  • I did some last week with hatch chillies from the freezer on them.  Wonderful burgers!  I only have a few bags of hatch left

  • Hello everyone!  I plan to smoke one of these SRF briskets tomorrow night.  It weighs 13.3 prior to trimming.  I plan to use Oakridge black ops rub and oak for smoke.  I would think grate temp between 230 and 240.   I have read read on here that SR…
  • These things are rock solid!  Gonna cook 2 next weekend.  Really excited and my neighbors have no idea of what they are about to get.
  • 6 briskets 12-14lbs.  Split between 3 of us to get the leap year deal.  Worked out to $105 per including shipping.  Also got a cowboy steak as an appetizer!  Looking forward to trying these!!
  • I put 2 11lb Packers on last night.  About 10degrees in MD.  The party q batteries must have froze because I needed to change them out three times.  Egg is burning way more lump than usual and is struggling to stay in the 250 range.  Lump is burning…

  • I just ordered the lucky 7 from meat church this morning.  I hope that it makes my food look that good!  I'm sure it was a blast!!!!!
  • Thanks Ron!  Last question....When I do cook again should I have food on there or just do a low and slow for some period of time first?  I have to cook 4 briskets this weekend so I want to be prepared.  THanks
  • I finally installed the Rutland today.  My question now is do I let it cure for 24 hours or should I run a low and slow for period of time?  Thanks in advance!
  • Update:  I did not get to this today.  2 different hardware stores where I live did not have the rust/paint stripper wheel or A pumice stone.  They did have the wire brush but the directions advised against that.  I'll pick one up at a Home Depot to…
  • Perfect!  Thank you all.  I really appreciate it!
  • That pic just screams "summer"
  • What could go wrong?  Pork, rub and smoke.  It will be wonderful!
  • So creative.  I knew that I would get some solid ideas here.  No doubt I'm doing the chic salad.  The nachos/ Mexican mix are great ideas too!  I will keep everyone posted!  Hopefully, we win the white marlin open!!
  • I just got the hopper 30 about 3 weeks ago and I LOVE it.  Works great.  I put 18 bottles of beer and 16lbs of ice in it on a Saturday morning, opened and closed it 16 times, or so, until Monday morning and still had ice, really cold water and 2 bee…
  • Priceless!  You get to enjoy that forever!!
  • How is that Goose Island pale ale?
  • I just pulled the trigger and purchased it.  The only deal I could get was free shipping.  Tackle direct was offering the free side kick BUT no stock until August.  Thanks everyone and I'm looking forward to it.  Life is to short for warm beer.

  • I gave cooked briskys for Christmas gifts this year.  I suggest under cooking to about 190, pulling, completely cooling before vacuum sealing.  Then heat the whole packer in boiling water for 30 min or so.  This is assuming that it is thawed out.  I…
  • I too am interested for an XL.  Also, instructions on how to do this will be helpful.  I did not search the forum but will do so now.  Thanks!
  • Love the Breitling.  I'm a huge fan!  I have had one for about 7 years now.  Finally did the service.  Didn't see that number coming BUT it's like brand new again.  Enjoy the briskey.  I also put one one at 5:30 this morning.  She's at 167 degrees r…
  • I also think that the party q and maverick is the perfect combo for sweet dreams! I have not changed the batteries yet and have almost 30 hours on them. I do, however bring the temp up without the fan to preserve the batteries.

  • That really does suck!  I got a party q from Firecraft in December.  I have used it several times with no issue.  Sorry that this doesn't help you with your problem.  Did you buy it directly from bbq guru?  If not, maybe the retailer can help in so…
  • Here are some that were dry and some that were wet.  I love WINGS.  We probably have them once per week or so.
  • @YEMTrey‌ thank you for the kudos! I know that I would like a brisket so I just assume that others would too. @Brisket_Fanatic‌ No, I plan to put the whole flat into a vacuum bag. If it's only good for 4 days this might not work. I can't guaran…
  • I just ordered the 4 pack from the website since I won't be in Manassas anytime soon. They have a promo code of multi2014 for 20% off of the 4 and 7 packs. That's not a bad price per bottle and you can order what you want.
  • Nice job!  Is that true that when you put something cold directly on the granite it raises the temp or if you put something hot it will cool it down?  That's a really interesting tidbit.  Thanks for sharing!!
