Egg Feet for new table?

I have heard conflicting advice...should you use the feet on top of a paving stone that rests on a wood table?

yes - the air space is very desirable...unless you are talking about an XL and then BGE does not recommend the feet.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

no feet on an xl egg, yes feet on a large egg. three quarters will work as well if you dont like the feet, it needs just a little air space with the paverfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

Yes use 3 feet under the large and make sure one is positioned directly behind the egg so that when opening the dome the weight of the lid is distributed to the back leg

Thanks...it really sounds like you need to use the feet. I have a large Egg. Certainly don't want my table to end up scorched. Does using the feet also help with cooking at high heat temps (better airflow)?

It has no effect on the cooking but will help protect your table. It took a few years for mine to get like that but why take the chance.
