Restaurant look

I look at all these pics of food that look like something a chef cooked at a 5* restaurant and I was wondering if anyone has ever seen any other type of grill that makes food look as beautiful as the BGE? I have been egging less than a year and I really surprise people when I pull steaks off that have both vertical and horizontal grill marks and they think I am a culinary genius! I haven't quiet gotten down the picture posting thing yet, but I would love to see some of everybody's "prettiest" cooks. I just looked at Lawn Ranger's pork chops and I am wanting a thick pork chop for lunch!!!

The egg makes us all better at cooking and our pictures look better.
Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

i think taking pics of every dinner cooked helps, both in what you put in your plate and how you put it in there. i need better plates because im far from 5 star cooking  now you do need to take lots of pics to get a good one and some foods are just about impossible to get to look great. heres some favorites anyways

this was a salmon stuffed with raisin craisin apple stuffing

said leftovers made into a pie

    100_0956.jpg

a 45 day dry aged porterhouse with egged portuguese
    rotten cake

    100_1063.jpg

probably took 20,000 pics and moved 1500 or so to pbucket for posting and have a dozen shots that i like but the food just seems to get better and better and i think pic taking plays a part in that

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

My pics look like food I cooked. Good, but............

Your pics look like food served in a 5-star restaurant. Especially the first one!! I'm jealous is all.

Don't I hear you? Sometimes someone will ask about a particular cook and I'll go "oh yeah, I did that a while back" Three quarters of the time I can't find it. I got the pay version of photobucket earlier this year cause the free one was full. I said to myself "Albums you idiot" ...guess what?

I always forget to set the resolution lower so mine get filled up pretty quick. Plus I take five pics where one would do anyway. I should probably just go through and delete a bunch of stuff but you never know when you are going to need an under exposed, poorly focused pic of a burger.

For the best looking food (IMHO) go to www.rickstropicaldelight.com He no longer posts here, unfortunately, but is a highly regarded BGE cook and photographer. Keep cooking and taking photos B)

This is my favorite photo. You should note that some of it has to do with the effort put into setting up and taking the photo.
