Picked up a 12.5 lb packer, dusted with DP Red Eye. On at 225F
Camping in North Georgia last weekend. 4 month old bundled up:
Hamburgers for dinner. Fried grits for breakfast:
Some syrup - oh so good on the crispy grits:
Here is the river in the background:
Gotta do smores when camping:
The rat terrier keeping warm on Natalie:
Breaking down camp - kids love to get the air out of the tent.
Brisket should be done by 2PM! Can't wait.

Hi Molly,
That was last weekend. He turned 5 months today.
Did brats Saturday night, and scrambled eggs with cheese and brats for breakfast Sunday morning. Good eats and good times with the family.
We are going again next weekend.
Looking forward to your next shots of the Colorado mountains...

I know - my oldest will be driving in a mere 4 years!
Egg is cruising along at 245, brisket is at 145 (been there for hours).
Smells wonderful! -
Thanks Hoss! Temp check at 4AM went well. Egg holding at 245.

Here is the brisket at 180:
I foiled it at that point, will cruise to fork tender from here. Dome up to 275, which is perfect.
Will be ready to feed my family and friends on time. -
