Going for the Lump Rock Record

I'm sure there are probably bigger ones. But last night couldn't get my nice clean mini up to any sort of decent temperature no matter what I tried.
When I went to clean it out later I found this beastie occupying most of the firebox. No bloody wonder it wasn't getting warm.

It weighed 478 grams - that's over a pound!

that's the cleanest rock out of a bag I've ever seen! Did you wash it up purdy for the picture? :laugh:Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

I think that is the biggest I've seen. What brand of lump? And I've got to ask, how did that get it to a mini with out you noticing?

It was from a bag of Royal Oak. It was that white coming out of the Egg - I suspect the fire was hot around it at some point in the burn. Didn't see anything that white inside the egg after I dumped the charcoal in. I just dumped the lump in the egg from the bag - funny I didn't hear it hit, but it must have started out in the middle of the pile.

If you look at it from just the right angle, and the light falls on it just right, it kinda looks a little like Ed Fisher.
