I have been working with my dealer on warranty replacement parts for my egg. This is week 5. I called him this morning. He still has not ordered them. He says they cost to much to ship. Is this normal procedure for warranty claims?

many dealers drag their feet... they'd prefer to get it from their distributor on "the next shipment" rathe than ship special.
call you distributor directly and talk to them. my distributor found me a local place that gets more regular deliveries, and suggested i get the replacement parts there. you don't have to go to your regular dealer.
i'm sorry to say, i have yet to meet a dealer in my area that knew hoe things "worked". maybe this new dealer will be a change. i haven't yet gotten around to going to see them. -
You should call Atlanta. I have this #: 800 793-2292. My notes read: press #2 for John.

As far as shipments go, I ordered the 'new' BGE tent/canopy and they wanted $80 for shipping, to ship it right away. I had the dealer tell them to put it on their next regular shipment, it didn't cost anything for shipping and it was here in a week.

who's the distributor with more regular deliveries?
I'm not orderinjg anything, but when I got my platesetter and pizza stone, the dealer (you know who)charged me a boatload in shipping.
He was going to whack me when I got my mini but I distinctly asked that it come with the next shipment. -
tarentin told me to try the "BBQ Barn" in arlington...
said they get shipments almost every week. -
I have heard of them- they advertised on the radio about a year ago and were making a big deal about being a BGE dealer. I knew it was a good thing.
I think I told you that when I told the dealer I was seriously thinking of getting a Mini, he kind of whined back "what can you do with it??" -
i know he's a friend, but that guy has all the range of a daisy air-rifle

First of all, I can't believe that Capt Peppermill has more than twice as many posts as me!
but secondly, I concur on your observations re: depth of knowledge of the product. -
and i just joined today

Larry (Poolguy) runs Hot Spot in Liberty. He keeps a lot of stuff in stock. Have not had any warranty issues but he and his staff are very helpful.
