Question:

I went to the butcher's shop this afternoon(5:00Est) and picked up some NY Strips. The steaks were vacuum sealed when I got them.

Anyways, I forgot about them in the truck and went to dinner. At 8:00, three hours later, I arrived back home and realized what I had done. Temped the steaks at 60 degrees, checked by laying two on top of each other still in the cryovac and measuring in between the two.

In other words, the temp I got was an external temp.

Should I cook and eat? I say I should, but looking for advice.
