When grinding beef to make burgers is there a prefered cut of beef to use, and do you add any spices to the meat prior to grind.

We definitely prefer the angus beef in a cut that will produce around 10% fat. This provides the best flavor we have found. We also like to grind the beef a bit rougher than usual as this provides a bit more texture too.
Enjoy

Fregg,
We have lately been using a blend of short rib and either brisket or chuck, and we love the results.
