Crap...forgot to upload a bunch of stuff to Flickr.
Oh well...
Here's one of my newer obsessions. Fixing up old kerosene lanterns. With a little citronella oil mixed in I figure they should help keep with skeeters away. This is the latest batch.

We are leaving in 30 minutes to go back here....Murphy N.C. is a neat little town.

The Copper Canyon (Spanish: Barranca del Cobre) is a group of canyons consisting of 6 distinct canyons in the Sierra Tarahumara in the southwestern part of the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. The overall canyon system is larger and portions are deeper than the Grand Canyon in the United States. The canyons were formed by six rivers which drain the western side of the Sierra Tarahumara (a part of the Sierra Madre Occidental). All six rivers merge into the Rio Fuerte and empty into the Sea of Cortez. The walls of the canyon are a copper/green color which is where the name originates.
I think one of my best photos ever, this tarahumara girl & her sister high up in the Canyon
Another tarahumara girl with her little brother
Tarahumara woman selling her wares
At this point in the cerro del gallego near Cerocahui, I'm standing in a pine & oak forest, behind me the drop is over a mile deep & the climate down there is tropical I could see the palms & banana trees.....

Have a safe journey Larry, I seem to remember you sending me info about it.

My little flower in the back yard next to the egg. I don't get out too much!!

I love them too.

Ahh...Colorado - my favorite place on earth. Here's a snowbridge covering Schofield Pass above Crystal Colorado. I remember years ago finding a Jeep in the Crystal River to the right that had unsuccessfully tried to cross the snow and slipped down. Idiot

Very cool!

Always wanted to make that trip. Unfortunately, I think I'll wait a while longer. :(

She's just to left of center in the green parka and sunglasses.

Purple Mountains Majesties!

Mike you can fly to Cd. Obregón Sonora. & from there take a taxi to beautiful El Fuerte Sinaloa the train stops there & from there all the way to Divisadero & back, stop in Cerocahui on the way if you can it's worth it. This is the best part with most of the tunnels & bridges...Stay 3 nights 1 in Cerocahui & 2 in Divisadero. Consult Viajes Balderrama travel agency. I should think you'd be pretty safe this way.

Actually it's from the campus of Colorado College. Had a tour with my counterpart there a few years back.

Thanks. Went to visit my wife's childhood home of Estes Park a couple of years back and, of course, went through RMNP where these were taken.
Nice place - just a little to "hilly" for me... -
Green parkas and sunglasses must be in vogue on the Peak
But Molly is clearly on the left - the lady with the Coors Light. -
Yep, that's her. Looks like she's just about to have a big 'ol bowl of chili and beans, too.
-
Good info. Thanks!

Those ribs are as skinny as those palm trees :P
