Every week while mowing the yard I was finding feathers and carnage throughout the yard...it seems we had a new family move into the neighborhood.
Captured this after glimpsing him swoop in from the tree across the street into our tree.
Then seen what had captured his attention as lunch moved from our tree to the neighbors roof...
In the end lunch was not served but it wasn't for lack of effort. -
I have tried to grow a Pride of Barbados plant for a couple of years. Last year, the Great Freeze of Ought Nine killed my plant because it got down to 20°
However, I got my first bloom this year. I just took the first two pictures 10 minutes ago.
I first saw this plant a couple of years ago at an old San Antonio Spanish mission.

Ah, the Rockies. Gorgeous. My Woosday picture is not as scenic, but it is just pure beauty in my eyes now that the building has FINALLY begun on Dizzy Central.

Here are two monster Brandywine tomatoes that merged into one. Looks like I'm going to have a nice tomato salad for lunch.... whisk a little olive oil, balsamic vinegar, grated grana padano, a few basil leaves and cracked pepper.... tastes like summer to me.
Happy WoosDay!

Mine too! This was what I was posting today! Great minds, huh?

Great pics. The sky pic of yours induced me to post these. I actually took these for purely mercenary purposes. I actually use sky textures (pics) in my day-job as an illustrator. Took three sky pics on a long weekend mini-vacation, and wrote off the trip, mileage and boat rental!

You sewed that thing together! I can even see the stitches!

Very nice Beli!

Here's my Brandywine, not quite as ripe as yours  This is the first year I have tried them, they seem to ripen a lot later than other varieties, havn't got a red one yet and bushes are six feet tall.

Is that a Jackfruit in the middle?
Them things are good. Tastes like bubble gum.
Chris -
My tomatoes have taken a hit from all of the heat, and these guys didn't help at all-
Me? I'm just hanging out.
No I didn't strip you plants overnight.
Liar!!
I hope they are beautiful in a few weeks.
