What is a good device to help me cook in the rain?

Uh....an umbrella :P

LOL. How about bring the Egg in the house? Hehe. I was thinking of some contraption to place over the top, though, when it rains. LOL, good one.
-
A weather machine?
-
HAHAHA,well here's a little contraption that I built to cover my eggs
Seriously though, you can use a roof vent cap thingy from the hardware store, but it really isn't necessary.I've cooked a bunch with the eggs out in the rain, and never had any trouble -
Get a 3-pound coffee can or restaurant size can (or a can from COSTCO  ), punch holes around the perimeter and place it over the daisy wheel. This is the cheap way to solve your problem.
-
Now, your idea would be the best for anybody obviously. What a nice setup!!

Hey Doug, Your outside area is just what I am wanting to build. Do you have several pic's of your building? I would love to see more pic's and descriptions when you have more time to talk. Tim
-
You got it Tim,I'll email ya when I can
-
k thanks

Here's mine - rain really won't hurt your egg, but sometimes here in Illinois we get some real down pours. This is merely a vent stack cap from a big box store like orange or blue for less than $10.

I said to my wife, 'Where do you want to go for our anniversary?' She said, 'I want to go somewhere I've never been before.' I said, 'Try the kitchen.'

It rained 2 inches while I cooked a steak! -

I remember you once said you have a large deck to party on and you're right! Cool and obviously private!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time. -

Just a small deck at 16 X 40 ewith a lower 12X12 area. It needs cleaned and stained sometime this year. If it ever stops raining I may get it done.
The steak Got a good rest that night! I had to wait out the down pour.
