does the JB weld really work and strong enough to use on a 3-4 inch piece thats craked and can be removed which I have from the lid rim under the band?
I was going to remove the old gasket and put my new romex on when we took off the band there was a cracked half moon piece that I was able to pull off, onlt thing that was holding it on anyway was all the soot at the top inside of the dome. now what can I use to glue this piece back is Jb Weld good or something stronger? I worry about the heat and the lid once I start cranking down that band being that theres a weak spot now 4 inches wide even if i glue it back will I completely break or crack the lid more or will it be ok ? Thanks
