I have a one tear old Camperdown Elm tree with some kind of growth on the leaves. It is a little pod that looks like it might contain some kind of eggs. I cut one or two open and they appear empty.

Any idea what it is

    I was wondering if it could be a Gall?

    Check out THIS article. Take a look at the last photo of the "Gall of peach tree leaves." I would find a good horticulturist, maybe at a county or state extension services office or good garden center that can help.

    I've never seen anything just like it but that isn't saying a lot. ;)

    Looks like a leaf gall. Nothing to worry about really, as the insect responsible has long moved on. Think of these as scar tissue.
