One of my neighbors stopped me today while I was mowing the lawn to give me a little gift to commemorate getting the BGE finally. I'm rather excited to try it! They said it is a "Carolina" based sauce so it is a bit vinegary.
I didn't want to ask too many questions, in case they would have had to kill me!

That was a kind gesture by your neighbors. Bet they're hoping you'll cook something for them using their gift. Never heard of that sauce but then we're not big BBQ sauce lovers. I really only use in baked beans. You'll have to give your report on it here.

Anne, It was real sweet of them! They are the ones who always are rewarded with the fruits of my labor on my old smoker. They have a vested interest in seeing me master the EGG. As for the sauce, based on the logo on the bottle, I don't think a lot of folks have heard of this kind... That's what makes it so interesting!
