I was just curious as to what is the strangest thing everyone has cooked on the BGE?

Is LONEY considered strange or beef tongue or calves liver?
-
I definitely think beef tongue is!!! Although it probably tastes pretty good, I don't know if I would want to try it though.
-
I cooked on the egg last fall.
-
Scallop and pistachio stuffed spring rolls, deep fried.
-
That HAD to be YUMMY!
-
octopus?
-
i sauted up a bunch of bulls testicles last year at waldorf eggfest that then got put into mine and spawn's "****-wreck" sandwiches along with beef tongue and some other goodies .. . that strange enough for you?
-
Probably the Chicken Spaghetti Squash with basil, pine nuts and sun dried tomatoes.
Or maybe what we cooked in the OKC IEC. Avocado Shrimp Cocktails, Bacon Wrapped Asparagus with Bearnaise sauce and Mango Salsa. I don't have any pictures of it but there were lots around.

Squirrel was the strangest thing I have seen cooked on an EGG®.
-
I have grilled frog legs and smoked foie gras! hoss
-
We've done a few good desserts. Not really 'weird' on their own, but kind of an odd thing to think of making in a smoker.

Yes, I think that is the strangest thing so far!!! You definitely are winning right now.
-

Well, Max got in on the tongue and swinging beef ahead of me so I'll move over to some parts from my favorite critter... these are only strange when you're a stranger to them. Heheee.

I'd love to say, but here in Ca. we do not have a statute of limitations for things like that.
-
I've cooked beef tongue, spring lamb "barbacoa", duck confit, peking duck, but the only photos I have here are for kobe/foiegras/black truffle burgers "en brioche" with 10 year wisconsin cheddar, champagne tempura onion rings dijon and arugula..
The fat percentage in the patties didn't come to mind until they caught flames hahaha....
Cheers! -
I guess that would make me strange. I think you doing the baked Alaska to proove inecream could be done on an egg ranks pretty high though.
-
What's strange about that? We have that every week...sometimes twice. :silly:
-
Lucky you Mike!! I haven't repeated them since! hehe...
let me know so that I can drop by!
cheers -
I once cooked a drifter. mmmmm, hobo, the tenderest of meats
