Thermapen failure

For some reason, last weekend my Thermapen Super Fast model quit working. It worked for the Sat night Egg cook but when I went to use it for Sunday night dinner it didn't work. I tried switching the battery yesterday, but a dead battery doesn't seem to be the cause. I am crushed, because it is my favorite kitchen tool of all time (well maybe right behind my Good Grips tongs).

Has anyone else had problems with Thermapen? Mine is only about a year old. I wonder if they have a warranty or replacement program. Does anyone have experience with dealing with manufacture to get a unit fixed? I guess I could buy a new one, but they aren't the cheapest tool out there.

    Send an email to amber@thermoworks.com. Or call her at 801-756-7705. She can let you know your options. Warranty is one year (except on the probe which is 6 mo).

    From what I've seen and heard, they are quite reasonable. For example, if your outer casing gets chewed up by a wayward field mouse, they will replace it for $10 plus shipping, but don't ask me how I know this. So even if you are out of warranty, it probably won't cost much to fix it. Good luck!

    I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

    That exactly what happened to mine. I called Thermapen, they said to send it to them. They fixed it no charge and sent it right back to me.
    Great customer service !!!!!
