Valentines Pizza

Well, I made my first pizza using zippy's dough and it was very good.
I can't believe how easy it was to make and how easy it was to work with. I don't think I'll ever buy store bought dough again. I'm sure that I will get even better with some experience.
Now I have to wean myself from store bought pizza sauce. Although I've made my own sauce before, I've always thought it was too time consuming. Convenience seemed to win out over taste. Not any more.
The plan was to make some heart shaped pizzas - i guess I just got lazy.
Here's what I did.
pep, ham, mushrooms, provolone/mozzarella/parmesan/emmental cheese
pep and mozzarella/cheddar cheese
green / red peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella/asiago cheese
olive oil, asparagus, red peppers and goats cheese
Everyone enjoyed it. Yum! Yum!

All of them look delicious. Never thought to put asparagus on pizza.

I'm not an asparagus lover, but my wife and kids are. Who am I to disagree - it was valentines day after all.
They claim it was wonderful!

Nice pies.
I make my own sauce in large batches and then freeze in 2 cup portions that thaw in 15-20 minutes and are ready to use. Very simple that way and I always have pizza sauce ready when needed (without all the added sugar and preservatives in most store bought stuff). -
That's a great idea and very convenient!
My wife will thank you as I tend to use every pot in the house when I cook.
