just about out of pecan chunks, so I hit the fireplace wood pile and started cutting.
half hour of sawing filled the drawer in my egg tool chest. Now I'm good to go for awhile.

Tom,
Would you have any interest in a wood exchange? I have Cherry, Oak and Apple.
Would love some Pecan.
I'm going to send you an e-mail. -
What are you doing with the saw dust? There is a market for it.
Mike -
that wood looks dangerous... better send it to me for proper disposal
-
I got one of the Pro Q smokers and there is enough dust there to give me at least 2 good smokes.
-
I was thinking that the other day as I was dumping a bunch of cherry dust.
-
was thinking the same thing. cold smoking
-
Tom? Who told you?
Mike -
Send it down here Adam.

Don't under estimate the whole log.
I use a pecan log started with a small amount of coal to do an eight hour brisket cook. -
Eddie,
Don't laugh. When I get to planin some boards. the dust is plentiful. You could do 50-100 smokes with the pile. -
heck thats all i cut. my neighbor always has a stack of hickory for his fireplace. log or 2 here and there and I'm in business. have salvaged pecan from those darn chimney's too.thats the real prize.of course I will slip him a cold beverage during those hot dog days!!!
