Spatchcock on Cast Iron?

My bird is de-spined and in the fridge looking all weird and kind of translucent.
Since I have to go kind of ghetto on my raised grid this evening, I'll be using firebrick on top of one of my grates. Out of curiosity, would it matter if I cooked the hen on my cast iron grate, or would that be a bit too warm and a better idea to do so on the stock porcelain?

I've got a bird in the fridge also - going to do my first spatchcock chicken - good luck with yours
I thought the only to have dinner was to start up the BGE, since we didn't have power(Ice/Snow) - but - thank goodness the power came back on an hour ago.
