AZ Eggfest in Tempe Feb. 13th

I just got off the phone with BBQ Islands in Tempe, AZ. We are looking to buy a demo egg and he told me that they are going to have 20 eggs to cook on at the fest and available for purchase. Some XL's, L's and Med.'s. The cost will be $639 for a large demo egg and 20% off all accessories. I didn't realize that this will be the first eggfest in AZ. Apparently the one that was held last year was not approved by BGE. The person that held it wasn't actually a dealer and didn't have a store. These people sound really enthusiatic and have been in business for 8 yrs and selling eggs for 2 years.
As for the banner and the wrong dates...they've been in contact with BGE to correct the dates but it still hasn't been changed. I suggested he gets a forum handle and starts posting updates so people know what's going on. He going to do that today, so watch for any updates.

These eggfests are addicting Wess.
Enjoy your cruise, sounds like a great time. I know Poolman is looking forward to seeing you.
I got your email this morning.
Say "hi" to Sally.
Love ya!!! -
Next time you're planning a trip to AZ let us know and we'll make it a point to be here. Would love to see you. You could always come back here in Feb. for the eggfest. Are Lauren's parents still here in Paradise Valley?

Thanks for getting them on the ball, Anne. Do so want to go, but do so need accurite info :side: -
Anne, that's what the distributor's rep told me also but it is not true, Scott who put on the Fest was a dealer with a store. His first order of Eggs was shipped to his house because he wasn't in his store yet, and when the new rep checked the address and saw that it was a house he assumed Scott never had a store. BGE does not sanction the fests, we had a fest, a good one too, just ask Mollyshark. -RP

Are you and Ku coming to it? I'm pretty sure AZRP and Desert Filly are coming up for it. That would be fun. Haven't seen you and Jon since OKC. :woohoo:

That's the information the guy at BBQ Islands gave me. I thought getting the info from the dealer directly would be accurate. Oh well.

We also really enjoyed the first Eggfest in Tempe. It was our first as well. Scott did a great job and it was really fun. AZRP and Desert Filly and Mollyshark and a host of others made some fabulous food and we had a blast. We are planning to come over from San Diego.

Keep Checking for Updates, the information from last years event was provided to me by the distributor in California- This eggfest will have over 20 demo eggs for sale and a truckload of Eggcessories for discounted prices. We are very excited to hold this event and will keep our Eggheads updated on the forums, our website and email. Any suggestions would be great as we want to do this annually here in Tempe, Arizona. Please email them to shelton@bbqislandinc.com -
Resurrecting this old thread. When is the last time there was an Eggfest in the Phoenix area?
Anyone know if there are plans for another? I don't see one listed on the BGE website.
I'm a new BGE owner and would love to attend one locally! -
@vanduse ... eggfest's are all but done for this yr. I think sometime, very early 2016 is when the list goes up. Til then, hit up you local dealer(s) and see if they're interested in hosting one.
Actually, just noticed there's still a few left, but they all seem to be back east.I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.
