I'm about to do my second brisket since owning my Egg. I've been reviewing the posts and related links. There's a lot of very good stuff out there. The one that is by far the most comprehensive (that I've found) is this one from Thirdeye:

A lot of us here are beholden to thirdeye for good brisket advice. Allow me to second your recommendation.

Me too, a big thanks to thirdeye, the "bbq guy", as I have seen marked on some of the meat packages from his butcher.

GG - will do. I finally have that whole CyberQII configuration figured out so I'm looking forward to finally doing the cook.

I just served a brisket flat that I cooked per Carwash Mike's recommendation. It was head and shoulders above what I've done before, but still a little chewy. The flavor was, however, excellent.
I might try one of Thirdeye's methods next time to see if I can get it a little more tender. -

Not to take away from thirdeye, I read it atleast a dozen times before my 1st brisket on the 23rd, but we can't leave Bubba-Tim out of the conversation when you mention brisket ramblings. The combination of the 2 and you can't get any better!
