Was just playing around on Southwest.com.
Buffalo-Orlando 03/11 to 03/16. Non-stop $149 return.
That's a great deal! Arrive in plenty of time to prep for the fest. Also allows plenty of time to recover from the afterparty before departure.
Hmmm...I haven't even started my job yet. On my first day, should I be asking for vacation time? :ermm:

No charge for bags! I could just stuff him in there. No problem! Norma...You have to carry him on though.
-
That is the best deal out there Tim. I am talking with the director of the Melbourne airport about any specials that might be coming up for direct flights into Melbourne (10 minutes from the fest) but the best deals will be into Orlando. I'm starting the remodel of his pool Monday so maybe I can hold it for ransom   :woohoo:
-
But he still can't get on half the rides at disney
-
You must not be coming to Tiki Fest  or you should be on your way!
-
The Bride vetoed this weekend and I also forgot my Mom's 88th Birthday on Sunday. So I need to be at that.
-
Tim,
That is a good deal. We've been thinking about heading to Orlando yet Buffalo may be a bit too far to drive.

Amazing!!! You can fly here cheaper than I can drive the 42 miles and stay over night!! In this economy I may only make it for the Saturday. It's great that you've found work though. I'm still looking.
-
Best airfare I can find is $450 each and I'd have to add another hotel night to get it. Looks like I'll have a room available. :( -RP
-
maybe you can get a good rate to buffalo and back. Then just come on down.
-
You are likely correct. A few weeks back, it was cheaper for him to fly from AZ-BUF-DAL than AZ-DAL. It just makes no sense some times.
-
Just wondering if you are removing the deep end?
(LS, I love you man. Don't take this personally. You pick on me and those agony pipes.) -
Thank TIm!
I'm going to have to look into that...
What's the flying time though....is it a milk run to california, stop over in Chicago, stop over in Atlanta, reaching Orlando 24 hour later...Ha! Ha!
Still thinking about driving, but at that price, Anke just might change her mind.
I suppose the decision will depend on the quality (or lack thereof) of the commission cheque closest to the time of booking...

Tim, I just found out Direct Air will have non stop flights starting Feb. 4'th out of Niagara Falls, N.Y. into Melbourne but no idea of the cost.
-
Pat,
We are booked on them to Myrtle Beach in June. Really cheap. Niagara airport is way closer than Buffalo.

Hey Pat:
If we could get flights Buffalo-Melbourne can you recommend a car rental place in Melbourne?
Michael -
Steve as of Feb. 4'th they will have direct flights to Melbourne which is only 10 minutes from the fest and 5 minutes from my house. I'll be able to pick up anyone who flys there and take them over to the Crowne which will save on car rental.
-
Can I borrow your Porsche to pick up some groceries?

Michael, see my reply to Steve. Everything is taking place at the Crowne (M&G, fest and afterparty) you should not need a car but all the major companies are there. Good part about the airport is that it is small so there are no crowds.
-
Both of them if you like :woohoo:
-
That's good to know - I'd still want to get a car for a couple of days - maybe go to Orlando with the kids - that sort of thing.
Now if I could only get direct air to fly from Mississauga to Melbourne it would be like door to door service. I'd pay twice the price for a ticket!
