It's currently in a pie & cake throwdown on another board. I'm not real good with crusts or sweets, so I had to stick to meat.

It took about 30 or 40 minutes at 400° dome. I kept an eye on the bacon grease on the sides (thinking I might have to come down on the pit temp) and just tested the doneness of the potatoes with a toothpick. There were three layers of potatoes/onion/garlic/cheese. I was also suprised that no cheese leaked out.

It came out of the skillet really easy and the bacon on the bottom looked about like the stuff on top.

I have done a dish with BB Bacon, potatoes & yellow onion then eggs, topped with cheese and that turns out great.

The wrapping with bacon is a real good idea. Let us know how the results of your dish.

    Thanks for posting, Kent
