Egg didn't get very hot

Was trying to do a T-Rex steak tonight but could barely get the Egg over 600...and that was with a fan blowing directly into the bottom vent. Also noticed condensation on the dome itself when I got it over 600 but it disappeared when the temperature dropped, sadly it was out in a fairly long rain storm Saturday night.
Right now I have both vents wide open and it is only around 450.
Is this something I should be worried about? It does not appear that any of the holes in the firebox are plugged and I have gotten it quite hot before. It is a new batch of BGE lump. I do have another bag I can try if it may be lump related.

Make sure the hole in the bottom vent is aligned with the vent. Make sure all the holes in the fire grate are clear. Make sure you filled the firebox up with lump. Light the lump in more than one place and leave the all the tops off..
Moisture won't last long above 300 degrees. -

Everything is aligned correctly and the coals looked good...nice and bright orange all over.

Check the calibration of your temp gauge then.

if you did not change the lump, probably wet, old lump. best way to determine is if it takes longer than normal to light the old (used)lump. twww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.

Low temperature is usually an airflow problem. It sounds to me like you've got some small pieces of lump blocking some of the holes in the fire grate. Make a wiggle rod out of an old metal coat hanger (straighten out the hanger and bend one end into a right angle for a few inches) and insert 1 end in from the bottom vent and poke it up through as many holes in the grate as you can.Large BGE

It might also be the fan. First time I used my Eggcelerator in my large egg it would only get the egg to 600 or 650. I was mystified as I had had my egg to 750 before. I took the fan out and almost immediately the egg jumped to 750. Best I can tell is after a certain point the fan was blowing the heat out the top.

One thing you might do before your next hi-temp session
is remove the firebox and clean ash out of the bottom of
the egg... a little ash goes out of the holes on the side of
the firebox each cook. I was having the same problem
and I found mine was packed around the sides.
