Ms Diane Update

We just got in from Milwaukee and a visit to the Foredtert Cancer Center. Dr.Doug Evans told us that he could do the surgery that Ms.D needs. We will continue chemo for the current regiment and go to have the surgery in Dec. It looks like we will be in Milwaukee for about a month. This was good news to us as everyone else had said no. I will say that my son-in-law has did a lot of work and research to make this happen. Dr.Evans was at M.D.Anderson for many years before his move and is a pancreatic specilist.

Again We would like to THANKs to all for your
Prayers,Thoughts,Calls,Cards, and E-mails. Those that were at the Oconee contest and purchased a shirt from one of our daughters we say thanks. This was something they dd and surprised their Mom. As you saw we have some great kids and a great immediate Family. We also have a GREAT BBQ FAMILY that mean a lot to us.

If Ms. D feels like it we hope to cook a couple more contests before Dec. and after she gets back to strength be back out there hangin out, cookin, and havin fun with the Greatest Folks around.

From your note, I am assuming she has cancer of the pancreas. I am glad you found someone who is willing to do the surgery and both Jana and I want to wish Ms Diana and the family the best of luck and we will put you on our own, as well as other, powerful prayer lists.

Keep us up to date. This forum is a huge family and support group !

If mondays chemo session don't wear her down we plan to be there thursday, friday, and saturday. The Canton Contest we usually cook that weekend got canceled so we are looking forward to seeing some folks we have not seen in a while.
