does anyone have a good recipe for pulled beef on the egg? I feel like I have mastered (though I'm sure not in comparison to others on this site) pulled pork but would like to give beef a try. Everything I have seen online says the cut to use is a chuck roast but most recipes are for a crockpot. Has anyone done this on the egg? Would it be similar to the pork shoulder? Just trying to expand my horizons as I can only serve pulled pork and ribs so many times...

I've done ClayQ's pulled beef a couple of times. It came out great both times and the family scarfed it down.
It is fairly simple and I followed the recipe exactly the first time, substituted honey for the maple syrup the second time. Liked the latter a little better but either works. Here's a link:

Sounds Delicious! However can you elaborate for me what a No. 12 Dutch Oven is? Sorry for the lame question!!!-Eddie

Apologies for an even lamer answer, but I haven't the slightest idea. I think it means a 12-inch dutch oven which would be about 7 quarts.
I used a Lodge 5 quart dutch oven which was a fairly easy choice since its the only one I own. Here is a picture of it full of beans (the oven, not the author):

I used a 19lbs. Top round with bone in rubbed it with Jonny's seasoning put it on the egg at 250 degress when meat hits 180 degrees I put it in an aluminium pan added some apple cider and covered it with foil return to egg untill meat hits 200 degrees and pull.
