Do you think it's safe to eat? I have no idea how long the fire was out. But it was outt. I could pick up the grate with my bare hand. The internal temp was 115. The outside looked cooked. I went to bed at 11:00 pm and everything was fine. I woke up at 6:15 and heard my BBQ Guru alarm beeping.

Let me clarify. Fire went out, the butt internal temp when I checked it was 115 deg. I plan to relite the fire and continue cooking. Do you guys think it will be safe to eat after its done cooking or should I not take the chance and just toss it?

From 11:00 to 6:15 (7 hours) the grate went from + or - 250 to touch by hand. Who knows how long it was out? Is it really worth taking the chance? I wouldn't.

If this was me I would not take a chance. For the coast of it, it is realy not worth taking a chance.
