Salami question

My brother-in-law gave me a full deli size 8# hard salami a few days ago. Now I have a big appetite but don't think I'll be able to eat it all in one sitting. Is there any harm in freezing deli style meats? Any ideas for the EGG? Thanks.

ever freeze hot dogs or sausage?
freezing isn't a real worry, it's freezing, thawing, then refreezing and rethawing. refreezing it might make it mushy.
if you have a vacuum sealer, i'd think you would have better luck freezing reasonable portions for future use.
FWIW, i don't know why they make those giant "gift" logs-o'-meat.

I might be wrong here but hard salami is cured isn't it? I just leave mine in the fridge til it's gone.

I think I'm gonna try that with a chunk, then freeze a bit. It might be eaten faster than I think. Gotta figure out some Egg options.
