1. I like the idea of the eggcelerator but 100 bucks is a little high since I am having no problem getting the egg fired up. Is there another option is I ever needed to get the fire going faster?

2. The cover is soo tight. Is there another cover for the large or should I just cut some of the bottom of the cover?

    Thanks CW.

Are there any dangers with backflash with the hair dryer?

muzzle flash maybe.. You know if your wife catches you...

I tried that hair dryer thing for the first time last nite. I was at 250 and barely moving. Put the hair dryer to it and got to 650 in no time.

After you get tired of blowing ash all throughout the egg...

go to any of the 'mart' type stores or target and pick up a personal AA Batery hand held fan. About $3.

Nice soft rush of air and feed the lump from the dome side, cuz right now there ain't no fire down by the lower vent.

Works fast and you won't have ash all over everything.

I agree - you don't need a blaster. Even one of these hand crank jobs does the trick.

Are you actually in Auburn? We are in Columbus and I have a couple of other eggers here. We should get together if so....

Well-football season is coming and there is nothing like the SEC. I happen to be a DAWG fan. Always looking for closer cooks. If you get this way, give us a shout...

When are you coming through? Wouldn't it be wild if we knew your cousins? This will be my first eggfest, by the way... :)
