I'm going through this stuff like crazy. Does anyone know of a source besides Wal-Mart and pharmacies that have it in quarts?

Have you tried the MAPP torch yet?
-
I've gotta ask......what is it?
-
My Egg lighter. A MAPP gas torch. Works great and last a long time. Burns hotter than butane and lights inverted.
-
Yes, and I don't really like it. I burned out the tip some how and I like the "pour it on, light it, forget it" aspect of the alcohol.
-
I'm beginning to think about a weed burner though....
-
OMG, that went right over my head. Must be the meds! :woohoo:

Have you checked medical supply stores?
-
Yes, they only carry pints!! I was really surprised.
-
Quit sampling the bottles in the bus.

Contact a chemical supply store or a hobby store that handles chemistry items.
You will probably be able to get it in gallons or even 5 gal buckets.
Using alcohol is more expensive than using MAPP or oil/paper towel.
I do like using alcohol though. On the mini the alcohol is a bit explosive.

What is a hoppy store????????
I don't mind that it's a bit more expensive, I just want to save some money over the quarts. -
 if my fingers connected with my brain it would have read hobby.

You can get denatured alcohol from home supply stores in quart and 1 gallon cans. It has additives to make you sick if you decide to drink it. Same as 90% alcohol.

OH!!! That's good to know!!! Sounds like a trip to Lowe's is in order!!!

I buy alcohol stove fuel at a outdoor store (Gander Mountain). Couple bucks a quart. Less than a home store. I don’t know if the additives a different for stove fuel then solvents.
