ShopVac How do you use it?

I bought a small 5 gallon 2 horsepower shop vac at walmart. The times I use it to clean my eggs if I leave the green sponge like material on it gets clogged very easily. When I leave it off tons of dust comes out the vent.
How does veryone use their shopvac to clean the egg.

A heppa or hepa filter is the only one that will keep the super fine particles like ash and sheetrock dust from blowing out the exhaust. The big box stores or Sears is a good place to get them. They are very hi quality and can be hosed off when needed. Just make sure it is 100% dry before you put it back in the vac.

I am using the bag on the vac just still seems to blow dust. Will try the hepa filter and see what that does

This is not true.

I use a paper bag that inserts into the ShopVac just like a regular vacuum bag. Nothing blows out the exhaust of mine. I have to swap out the bag maybe 2-3 times per year.

I'm not talking about the little cloth bag that comes with the ShopVac that goes over the motor housing. These are sold separately and insert just like a vacuum bag in a standard household vacuum cleaner.

They capture all the little lump bits and ash just fine and there is not clean up. When full, just toss it in the trash bin and insert a new bag. My 6 gallon model that I use only for ash is good for 4-6 months between bag changes.
