Based on a recent post on "what don't you like"...it got me thinking about some foods I haven't had in awhile. Being that I'm alone for dinner tonight I made Chicken Liver Pate (spread). Some of you are probably leaving now. This was a first time for this recipe and can I say truely tasty. The raws:
The anchovy's have melted
Livers 3/4 done and wine added
I let it reduce a little more
Good stuff
I think I did bond some with these two...

Hi Barry,
The Pate looks great, nice job. I like the company you keep too, they are adorable.

good stuff. loves me the pate'.
there was a study. they served dogfood and pate' to people. something like 85% couldn't tell the difference.
well, of course. the dogs always get the best parts. wolves don't take down a deer and eat the tenderloin. they go for the organs! they aren't stupid.ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
Barry......

It looks like a very nice looking cook, but IMHO, liver more importantly, frozen liver, is for fishing for catfish, not for this ole girl to consume...

Never quite thought of it that way, might be why I had a captive audience.LBGE Katy (Houston) TX

Looks like a couple of happy pups! Too bad more folks can't get past their "organ" phobias, hell most folks eat hot dogs, right...
-
Awww Lawwddd! Please don't ruin hot dogs for me...

kosher dogs are from regular (non-"variety") cuts beef. i don't think they make 'em from l!ps and *SSh*les anymore (as dad useda say!)ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante

Anna my friend...You never know until you try. I think you would find yourself shockingly pleased!! Even Mr I hate liver and lamb (BT)....now loves the pate, and had lamb for his birthday. Keep an open mind with these Eggheads! They are sure to delight your tastebuds!
Great cook, Gunnar!! I will be right over! -
Stike...you are right! No l!ps and a$$holes...but everything in between!! And the kosher ones are only the front half. :woohoo:  :S
-
Yes, Chef!!! I will try to keep an open mind...
But, don't people put onions and gravy on top to get past the taste? I can't stand onions, or at least the ones that crunch... I can roll with the gravy, however... -
Okay, I’ve been watching “Bizarre Foods” on the travel channel…this is pretty calm.LBGE Katy (Houston) TX

I am not sure what looks the best?? those sweet faces hoping for one more taste or the pate? will you share the recipe? LOL my Dixie just growled at your two on my laptop. she is such a B&*%h

It's a very simple recipe with great taste and not loaded with fat. You may have to cut and paste I can't do the icons on my home computer. In lieu of doing the basalmic onions I just added onion to the initial cook.
