Chicken and Smoke

edited 5:36AM in EggHead Forum

What wood do you folks use when smoking a chicken?
I've been trying a few different woods, and so far, I like peacan chunks the best (I just use one chunk).

I'm with you. Pecan is my favorite for poultry. Second is hickory.[p]~nikki

Pecan is definitey a winner. Cherry works well for me too. Been wanting to try sasafrass. I hear it is killer...maybe even literally.
