Well another successful weekend competition for me and Lisa Marie. At the Rockford Rockin'n Ribfest in Illinois we were the Grand Champion overall and got our first 1st place in chicken. [p]BTW my sister has just questioned my sanity and integrity after learning that Lisa is an inanimate object. You either get it or you don't.

Congrats, Ray. Glad to hear you and Lisa Marie are bonding. And I guess you solved the age old riddle. The chicken came first! LOL. I have good news, too. I was at Toadfest/Geezerfest this weekend (more on that later), but my team cooked in the KCBS event in Charleston, SC this weekend. Another first place in whole hog and a sixth place in brisket, which wasn't bad considering it was our first competion brisket and they didn't have an Egg to cook it on. 9th overall out of 26 teams, I think.
