Gene,
There is a show up here called the Red Green show. It is absolutely hilarious in a Canuck sort of way. Half of the show is on uses of duct tape. Red calls it "the handyman's friend".

That looks great Steve.
Keep us up to date on the progress. I am looking for ideas on a double table for my two large eggs. -
Steven,
Didn't read the whole thread so you may have already gotten this comment. I have corian on the top of my table - salvaged from a kitchen makeover. Don't put anything real hot down on it - especially something with a little weight and the weight concentrated in a spot or two. Like a platesetter, legs down.
Looks like it is going to be a real handy setup. -
It is referred to as "Alabama chrome" down here

Frank,
I talked to a Corian guy today and I don't think it will work in our climate. I'm thinking about granite or mica now. I'll put some thermal shock barrier between the stone and the stainless. The only worry I have is going from sub-zero to hot and cracking the granite. Cracked granite looks better than cracked Corian though.

Great looking cook station Steven, I like the SS makes it easy to keep clean

Ross,
Thanks. The interior is perfect. And fireproof.

You could install a heated floor mat system under the granite. Your granite would stay warm during the winter.
If your eggs are going to have water,tv,satellite, they might as well have heated floors.:)

Gary,
Let me know if you are interested in something like this cause it came from the same place I buy my lump. I paid about $600. for it.

-
Sparky,
Did the first test with the digiQ today. Worked like a champ! The stainless didn't even get warm. Woohoo. Gonna do a high temp burn. Now I gotta get some granite ordered and some mig tig welds done and maybe someday, finish the deck.
