Well i did my first Spatchcock chicken and was very happy how it turned out, I used a butter, garlic, paprika and lemon pepper under the skin on the breast and then Johnnys seasoning salt on the outside...
350 dome temp for 50 mins and ready to come off
I was surprised how moist it was and was happy that I was going to have some leftovers but then my youngest son, who I might add has the great timing of knowing when the Egg is turning out a great meal, Stopped by and eat the leftovers! Oh well always nice to have him over

Greatm job. Spatchcock is always a "go to" when you want something easy and great tasting. Next time try it indirect with platesetter of some other direct fire block. Have an even more smokie flavor if you like that.

Looks great, has some good skin also. We are doing our first one today.

Good looking yard bird! If you want leftovers, cook two next time! Great for soup, chicken salad, sandwiches, etc.

J,
How do you get the skin to crisp up when you do it indirect?

I used my raised grill and hada piece of foil for drip and at one point the dome temp went up to 500 for I guess about 5 mins and I think that is how it end up getting crisper, also I left the spatchcok in the fridge for about 8 hours uncovered as I read on the "naked whiz" to leave uncovered for 24 hours will help crisp the skin.
But it was just luck I thinkEgg Family: Large and Medium Eggs and a Bradley Smoker
