just a quick SPAWN update

not much to report tonight... .sydney is basically hanging out today. ..tomorrow will be a big day again when the doctor unwraps the bandages around her wrists to see how the grafts took. . . she is still sore though where they took the graft from her thigh.... doc says it looks the way its supposed to look, so thats a good thing. . ..

stay tuned for tomorrow. ...

if things go well tomorrow, hopefully she'll get out by this weekend... . then they can continue to take care of the hands/wrists as an outpatient. ...we'll see.. . they are extra cautious due to her diabetes. ...

It will always stay tough when it’s your child in discomfort. Which will probably piss spawn off being called a child; but hey, no matter how old they grow they will always be your child. Spawn’s at the mending mark and that’s the biggest comfort there is.

unless you know what you are looking at grafts look bad when they are healing well and it takes a while .. take the docs opinion.

Max - So glad to hear she is progressing well! I do believe my favorite story though is the nurse.... Sydney..."hey, I was dead, cut me a break..." Nurse, "Well you're alive now!..Get it yourself!" LOL! (No offense, but that's a smart nurse!)

yeah, good advice. . . i keep asking "is the doctor happy?". .. and if the answer is "yes", then thats all that matters. ... when we were both nervous with how they were looking, i told her it was because we were "ignorant", and the more we knew the less scared we'd be because in this case, knowledge would be comfort, and it has been. .. . .

Healing is a long so procress but she is young and tough. ( After all, she is the daughter of our very own Mad Max beyond Eggdome)

Hi Max,
Glad to hear that Spawn is doing so well, skin grafts are very painfull and it sounds like she is taking it all very well. I'm an electrican and know all about burns,I never want to have them as the rcovery is no fun. Spawn is on the mend and I'm happy about that. I have been reading the updates and tonight the tears are not so much. This kind of story just makes me fall apart. Happy tears tonight.

I just know the grafts are taking and healing as planed.

Boy, one stays away from the forum for a bit and comes back to this! I'm so sorry to hear about Sydney's 'ordeal' and I wish her a speedy recovery. Talk about complications!
