Some avocado might be nice.

Don't like avocado

Small amt of cumin
-
got it and will add it
thanks -
Now that was funny!
And BTW ... I do agree.
Sounds like a great salsa to me!

Probably too late...but I add a bit of chili powder as well...and I omit the garlic. I find the garlic overpowers.
-
Two problem. Garlic in. Now for the chili powder. I don't have any. My wife cooked dinner tonight, she needed chili powder. I told her to use something I thought was close ground cayenne red pepper. Well dinner was ready. She tasted it and about threw up. I tried it and flames were shooting out of my mouth. We can't talk about chili powder.
-
LOL!!! BTW...don't ever try to substitute cayenne pepper for chili powder!! Guess you know that now.... :woohoo:
Hope dinner wasn't completely ruined. -
HM,
Try paprika, a little cayenne, ground cumin and ancho powder as a substitute for chili powder.

I'd leave the garlic & lime juice out.
-
Dinner was in the trash after the first taste
-
Next time I will just go to the store and buy chili powder
-
I will try that next time. It as good they way I did it tonight. I have made it that way a few times. Just looking for ways to change it up.

I'm with Beli on the Garlic...but I always use a couple tablespoons of FRESH orange juice and get rave reviews. Of course, sea salt and fresh cracked pepper are musts!

A shot of Tabasco instead of chili powder or cayenne. For 3 avocados, two forks full of original Rotel instead of tomatoes.
